Atrial Fibrillation

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhtyhmia seen in clincal practice causing significant morbidity and mortality for patients in primary care and hospital settings.  AF increases the risk of stroke, heart failure and all-cause death making it one disorder you want to stay up to date about.  This clinical update package provides an overview for the recognition and managment of AF through the analysis of case stuides.  An interactive case based eLearning package focusing on  rhythm interpretation and video demonstration of synchronised cardioversion is included.

  • Identify the rhythm strip criteria for diagnosing atrial fibrillation
  • Discuss the management of stable and unstable atrial fibrillation
