This webinar addresses the needs of General Practitioners seeking a structured, practice-wide approach to procedural skin consults — whether they are newly adopting skin checks or refining existing workflows. The principles of running a skin-related consult; including a full-body skin check and focused lesion assessments, incorporation of clinical photography and coordination with practice staff will be discussed.
The session discusses the use of the most common MBS items for skin consults — including time-based consults, biopsy and excision codes — and explains how to apply after-care rules. Billing guidelines, and transparent, patient-centred communication will be explored.
Clinical examples will be used, to reflect on complex scenarios and common pitfalls to avoid. By the end of the webinar, participants will learn more about how to implement an efficient and sustainable workflow for skin procedures in general practice.
