Critical Care Nursing: CRRT and managing patients with acute kidney injury

This course, part of the Critical Care Nursing Course series, focuses on renal function, acute kidney injury (AKI), and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). Delivered by experienced critical care nurses, this course will cover essential renal physiology, fluid and electrolyte balance and a detailed overview of AKI management.

Renal replacement therapy is a regular requirement of critically ill patients, and an essential skill for all ICU nurses. Looking at a patient case study, you will learn about CRRT setup, usage, and troubleshooting techniques along with other key patient management factors including nutrition, and nephrotoxic medications use.
