Resuscitation Instructor Course

During the practical component of the program the following sessions will be delivered:

• Session 1 Principles of resuscitation education 
• Session 2 Delivering a resuscitation simulation (practical + instructor assessment)
• Session 3 Performing an ALS/PALS simulation assessment (practical sim + instructor assessment + ALS/PALS assessment)

Eligibility

Instructor candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible to attend the program:

1. AHPRA registration (Medical officer, RN, Paramedic)
2. Current certification in ALS and/or PALS certification from a recognised provider (Medcast, ARC Course Centre ALS 2, ACCCN) or as approved by Medcast Head of Education.

Preferably, candidates would also have:

1. Recent relevant clinical experience in resuscitation, emergency, critical care, anaesthesia or cardiac care
2. Previous clinical education experience ideally inclusive of simulation and/or clinical skills training
