Wrist fracture Clinical Update

This clinical update course includes a video presentation of patient assessment video with a patient who presents with wrist pain. At the completion of this clinical update package, you will be able to:

• Identify elements to support a diagnosis of wrist fractures including:
  
  • Patient history (Mechanism of injury, location of maximal pain, function of affected part)
  • Physical examination (soft tissue, bone deformity, neurovascular, limb function)
  • Radiological findings
• Identify the need for specialist referral
• Understand the process for applying a backslab
• Provide patient education for ongoing care including identification of red flags
