Primary care is the first point of contact for men with erectile dysfunction (ED). ED is a common condition affecting 6-64% of males aged 45-79. It can be associated with chronic disease including cardiovascular disease and diabetes and may be an early warning sign of these chronic diseases. ED is a treatable condition that can impact strongly on the well-being of men and their partners and benefits from a biopsychosocial approach.
Dr Michael Lowy will provide an overview of ED, including investigations, management, treatment, and referral pathways. He will be joined by Dr Vijay Ramanathan and other panelists to respond to a case presentation highlighting management options and referral pathways.
