This is a 2 day course inclusive of theory content, skill stations and real-time ALS scenario simulations adapted to your clinical environment.This course equips you to provide basic life support for an infant, child or adult as well as to provide adult advanced life support (ALS) in the event of an adult cardiac arrest, which includes manual defibrillation, drug therapy, airway management and patient assessment.
A separate one day program is available for those interested in Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). All candidates will have their skills monitored and assessed throughout the practical sessions and real-time scenarios, you will then have the opportunity to have your competence assessed & accredited.
All participants will be eligible for a certificate of ALS attendance, and those who are deemed competent will receive a certificate of ALS competency.
This course has received accreditation from the RACGP for 40 Category 1 points in the 2020 - 2022 triennium. ALM number 205702.
This course has also received accreditation from ACRRM for 10 ALS points, 30 PRPD points and 30 MPOS points in the 2020-2022 triennium. ACRRM ID: 8879.
