This mini audit is a practical activity designed to help general practitioners reflect on and improve their assessment and management of patients with endometriosis. Participants review their own clinical practice against current best practice guidelines, including comprehensive history-taking, recognition of common and less common symptoms, physical examination, first-line investigations, management strategies, and appropriate referral decisions.
This audit will sit alongside our webinar on endometriosis management delivered by Prof Jason Abbott.
By systematically auditing their own cases, GPs can identify gaps in care, apply evidence-based approaches, and develop actionable strategies to enhance patient management. The activity encourages critical self-reflection and promotes alignment of day-to-day practice with best-practice recommendations, supporting quality improvement in the primary care setting.
Completion of this mini audit contributes three and a half hours of CPD – comprising one hour of educational activity (EA) and two and a half hours of medical audit (MO) – allowing participants to meet CPD requirements while fostering the integration of guideline-based care into routine practice. This activity is ideal for GPs seeking a practical, evidence-informed approach to improving outcomes for patients with endometriosis.
