This mini-audit is designed for GPs to critically review their own reproductive genetic carrier screening cases. Participants will assess patient counselling, test selection, and result communication, reflecting on alignment with current guideline-based practice.
Clinicians will also evaluate barriers encountered in their practice, such as patient hesitation, service access, cost, or logistical challenges, and determine when referral to a genetics service is required. This reflective process helps GPs identify areas for improvement, enhance patient communication, and ensure informed, evidence-based care in reproductive carrier screening.
Completion of this activity contributes to 3hr of CPD (2.5hr MO + 0.5hr EA).
This is a Medcast Continuing Medical Education (CME) course.
