Overview

This self-led session has been designed specifically for health professionals to run in their practice. This session aims to get you and your peers comfortable with the more challenging aspects of eczema cases. 

Covering key topics such as the eczema management algorithm, the eczema care plan, psychosocial impact and causes and triggers. Enhance your knowledge on topical corticosteroids, topical calcineurin inhibitors, adjunct treatments and lifestyle interventions while mastering long-term care strategies to improve patient outcomes.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, facilitators should be able to:

Prepare and review the materials required to run a facilitated case study discussion on the management of eczema

Deliver a 1 hour workshop to peers including the discussion of at least one case study that facilitates discussion of current eczema management in general practice 

analyse any learning needs and identify areas for further development within your practice and link to any relevant material or learning resources

provide peers with support to complete the learning activities required to claim and log their CPD hours for the session

Identify and describe cutaneous changes that may be associated with eczema

Critically analyse clinical cutaneous observations and/or investigations to diagnose eczema

Plan and develop treatment and management regimens appropriate to eczema
