Jill Newby is an Associate Professor and Clinical Psychologist at UNSW and the Black Dog Institute. Jill’s research specialises in understanding the classification, nature and maintenance of health anxiety and in technology-based treatments for anxiety and depression, including internet and virtual reality interventions. She developed and evaluated the first internet CBT program for health anxiety available in Australia (THIS WAY UP Health Anxiety course), and is currently studying the mental health impacts of COVID-19 in Australia.
