This comprehensive course covers the assessment and management of acute life-threatening emergencies including the critical aspects of crisis resource management. It is designed for clinicians primarily working in the pre-hospital, urgent care/emergency care and acute care settings.

Grasp the intricacies of managing diverse crises, including anaphylaxis, acute coronary syndrome, acute pulmonary oedema, drowning syndrome, diabetic emergencies, envenomation, pulmonary embolism, respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, tension pneumothorax.

Robust Theoretical Foundation & Practical Application

Learn through clinical case studies and a detailed exploration of pathophysiology. Gain a solid understanding of primary and secondary survey techniques, along with the principles of crisis resource management.

Flexible Learning Modules

Engage with the content at your own pace through live webinars, pre-recorded webinars and interactive eLearning case studies, amounting to 12 hours of CPD (10 hours of EA and 2 hours of RP via eLearning case studies)

  • Live webinar - 9th May: Haemoptysis & Respiratory failure

Module 3: Circulatory Emergencies

  • Including acute coronary syndrome, acute pulmonary oedema, pulmonary embolism
  • Live webinar - 16th May: Trauma 

Module 4: Neurological Emergencies

  • Including stroke, TIA & traumatic brain injury
  • Live webinar - 23rd May: Acute pain presentations & seizures

Module 5: Systems based emergencies

  • Emergencies including envenomation, oncological emergencies, sepsis
  • Live webinar - 30th May: Anaphylaxis
