This webinar focuses on the application of high flow in PACU, and the transfer of patients into the ward while maintaining the therapy.
This webinar is the third in a series on Nasal High Flow Therapy brought to you through a collaboration between Critical Care Education and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. Your webinar host Ken Hambrecht will be joined by educators from Fisher & Paykel Healthcare to bring you the latest evidence and clinical application of Nasal High Flow Therapy in various hospital areas.
This webinar focuses on the application of high flow in PACU, and the transfer of patients into the ward while maintaining the therapy. This relatively new PACU therapy is explained and a summary of the evidence is presented.
Emerging evidence suggests application of nasal high flow therapy in PACU significantly improves recovery and outcomes for those patients who require a degree of respiratory support. The combination of high flows, humidification and the ability to titrate oxygen provides physiological benefits the application of traditional oxygen therapy just cannot provide.
Topics covered:
Webinar 1: Nasal High Flow Therapy – Physiological Mechanisms
Webinar 2: Nasal High Flow Therapy - Paediatric Applications

This webinar is sponsored by Fisher & Paykel Healthcare.
