Almost all injured workers in Australia visit a GP for care. Many GPs however, describe unique challenges when it comes to assessing and treating mental health conditions that have arisen due to work factors.

The IMPRovE Community of Practice is an online meeting place for GPs who work with compensation, but who would like to develop strategies to provide better care for patients with mental health conditions. It is intended to help GPs develop solutions to questions like:

  1. What are the best practice treatment approaches for work-related mental health conditions?
  2. What lessons can I learn from my peers?
  3. What learnings can I share with my peers?

Join the IMPRovE Community of Practice to improve your care for patients with mental health conditions that have arisen as a result of work!

The IMPRovE Community of Practice is supported by an NHMRC Partnership Grant with Beyond Blue, the Attorney General’s Department, Comcare, Queensland Government Office of Industrial Relations, State Insurance Regulatory Authority, icare, WorkSafeVictoria and WorkCover WA. Our aim is to improve adherence to new Clinical Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of work-related mental health conditions in general practice.  Please click here to read the terms and conditions for participating in this community.
