An important change is coming to the eMHPRac Community
Over the past eight years, more than 26,000 health professionals have accessed Black Dog Institute content and courses via Medcast. Following the success of this educational collaboration, Black Dog Institute will soon be launching its own online learning platform, dedicated to health professional mental health education and resources.
What does this mean for you?
Black Dog Institute is launching their new Health Professional Resource & Education Hub on 20 March 2023.
The custom-built platform provides health professionals with access to evidence-based online resources, including training modules, webinars, podcasts and e-Mental Health in Practice content.
GPs and allied health professionals can access free CPD accredited webinars and accredited online learning modules, with new content and courses to be added on a regular basis.
Users are able to access digital resources and connect with other health professionals through the Mental Health Community of Practice. You can exchange ideas, thoughts and experiences with peers via the moderated forums and hear from Black Dog Institute’s team of experts.
New users can sign up to the Health Professional Resource & Education Hub from Monday 20 March 2023.

Questions you may have
I’m partway through a course – can I still complete this? From the 31st December courses are no longer able to be completed on Medcast. If you wish to access the back catalogue of webinars and modules please visit the Black Dog Institute site.
What happens to my profile and record of learning? Your course completion history will be saved on your Medcast CPD Dashboard (for learning prior to 31 December 2022). Remember to check and update your ACRRM or RACGP number via your Medcast profile.
Can I still enroll in a Black Dog Institute course via Medcast? From 16 December 2022, you will no longer be able to register for a Black Dog Institute course on Medcast.
Can I access the new Black Dog Institute learning platform now? Not yet, but more details will be provided very soon.
