SARS-CoV-2 is the new coronavirus that causes the infectious disease COVID-19. Virtually all data, at this point, has been from confirmed cases in hospitalised patients. Whilst for most people COVID-19 will be a mild and self-limiting illness, serious complications and rapid deterioration may occur at any age or stage. Thus, informed assessment and management is critical.
This KISS covers the treatment and management of COVID-19 in the Primary Care environment. Stages of the disease will be explained, followed by a succinct summary risk factors, symptoms, complications, treatment, respiratory factors and safety netting.

But wait... there's more!
As part of the NB Medical / Medcast Hot Topics workshop series, we produce a range of KISS summaries. Each month we will produce a new, free KISS. If you attend the live workshop (also available ONLINE), you will receive an up to date workbook of 150 evidence based summaries, reviewed yearly and localised for Australia.
Independent education, Australian & international evidence reviewed and summarised into useful 'chunks' by expert GPs, for GPs.
